How This Affects Our Content
We want to be completely transparent about how our affiliate relationships interact with our editorial process — specifically, that they don't.
Our ranking methodology is built before we consider affiliate availability. We analyze review data across all products in a category, score them on the dimensions that matter to real buyers (noise, durability, resistance quality, value for money), and rank accordingly. We then add Amazon links for the top-ranked products. Products are not ranked higher because they offer better commissions. Amazon Associates pays essentially the same rate across product categories, so there is no financial incentive to favor one product over another.
We do not accept free products from manufacturers. We do not accept sponsored placement. We do not have brand relationships that influence what we recommend. Our only income from this site comes from qualifying Amazon purchases, which means our interests are directly aligned with yours: if we recommend a product that doesn't deliver, you return it, and we earn nothing.

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R.
